Configuring DNS suffixes
Create DNS suffixes
-
The order of DNS suffixes is important. The ADC appliance tries the configured suffixes in a serial order and stops when it gets a successful response for a suffix.
-
At a time only one domain name is processed. All the available suffixes are appended with the domain name until a successful response is received. For Example: If the domain name is
wwwand the suffixes areabc.comandabc. The NetScaler appliance trieswww.abc.comfirst and if that does not return a successful response, then the appliance trieswww.abc. Ifwww.abc.comreturns a successful response, then the appliance will not try with the next suffix. -
The appliance uses all the suffixes in the order in which they are added until it receives a successful response.
Create DNS suffixes by using the CLI

- show dns suffix <dnsSuffix>
